Site Prep Done Right - Fill, Grade, and Compact

A lot of people underestimate what goes into proper site prep. They think it's just pushing some dirt around. But if the base isn't right, nothing built on top of it will be either - and that's a problem that shows up later in the worst ways.

Here's what we were working with on this one: a large open site that needed significant fill brought in, spread out evenly, and compacted down properly. We ran multiple Trail King dump trailers to keep the material moving and make sure we weren't wasting time waiting on loads. Multiple trucks, coordinated deliveries, and a grading machine working in tandem - that's how you keep a job like this moving efficiently.

The grading work is where it really matters. You can dump fill all day, but if it isn't leveled and compacted correctly, you're setting up future problems - settling, cracking, drainage issues. We take that part seriously. Every lift of material gets worked and compacted before the next one goes down. No shortcuts.
